Srinagar, Nov 15: Additional SP of Traffic Srinagar, Tariq Wani Tuesday flagged off a rally (walkathon) from RTO Srinagar to Chattabal Military Garrison to spread the message on the awareness of road safety and menace of drug abuse.
In this rally a good number of schools participated.
NGO white globe in collaboration with Chinar Corps organized this rally to enlighten the youth about the destruction caused by the intake of drugs and alcohol consumption. Chairperson White Globe Sheikh Saba also talked about the menace of drug abuse and importance of youth in nation building. Well before these initiatives it was something no one was worried about but now it has become a major issue in our Kashmir Valley.
The rally also included some programs like martial arts representation, callisthenic performance and skits that attracted the attention of youth.
The dignitaries present in the rally also addressed the student about road safety scenario and menace of drug abuse.
At last the program was concluded by presenting mementos and certificates to participating schools and the dignitaries with the slogan Drug Free Kashmir.
