Kulgam, Nov 24: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee to review the implementation of the Road Safety plan in the district.
While interacting with the officers, the ADDC said that the main objective is reducing the number of road accidents and saving precious human lives and for better management of traffic within the district.
Several agendas were discussed threadbare during the meeting.
MVD and Traffic Police authorities were directed to take strict action against violators and conduct regular sensitization of drivers and bikers for ensuring safe driving.
Necessary instructions were issued to the executing agencies for maintenance of roads and installation of crash barriers where-ever required.
The ADDC stressed on collective efforts that are required to minimize the road accidents in the entire district.
The meeting was attended by ADC, SDM Noorabad, ACR, DSP HQ, CEO, Tehsildar, ARTO, and other officers and stakeholders.
