Shopian, Dec 2: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Friday visited various areas of the district to oversee the progress of ongoing developmental works.
He inspected work sites of Children’ s Park Shopian, Solid Waste Management Centre Aglar, Amrit Sarovar Site at Pinjora and Fair Price Shop at Bongam.
At Shopian, he reviewed the progress of work on bridge at Children’s Park Shopian being constructed at a cost of Rs 32 lacs and inspected the under- construction site of Solid waste management Centre at Aglar Shopian.
Later, the DC also visited Pinjora and took stock of ongoing work on Amrit Sarovar Site besides inspecting Fair Price Shop at Bongam.
The concerned executing agencies apprised the DDC about the progress and assured time bound completion of these projects.
DDC insisted upon all stakeholders on increasing the pace on these developmental projects so that they are competed well before desired timelines while ensuring quality.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Yar Ali Khan, Tehsildar Shopian, Executive Officer Municipal Council, Secretary MC and other concerned.
