Handwara, Dec 6: The deputy commissioner, Kupwara Doifode Sagar Dattatray on Tuesday directed the officials including that of revenue to take up necessary measures to remove the illegal encroachment and retrieve the government land in the district and asked the Municipal Council Handwara not to dump the waste at general bus stand.
Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, while speaking on the occasion in My Town My Pride at Langate Handwara, said, that whosoever has encroached on the government land should immediately remove it and strictly warned the officials to deal with encroachment and ensure no common land is occupied by any individual or household.
He said, earlier a delegation from Handwara met him and apprised about the encroachment. “I assured them the action. I was happy to see that people want us to act against encroachment,” he said. He, however, directed the officials including the Tehsildars to act accordingly in order to remove the encroachment.
In the meanwhile, the deputy commissioner also asked the municipal council Handwara not to dump the garbage waste in the general bus stand.
“People visit Kashmir to see the beautiful mountains but in Handwara, we can only see the mountains of garbage waste”, he said, while directing MC not to dump the garbage waste there at the bus stand.
