The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has taken a series of actions against the transporters, who are found violating the norms, set by the government. However, the action against the two-wheelers continues to elude on the ground as many youngsters, who are below 18 years of age and are found riding the bikes, scooties and scooters without even crash helmets. Several boys and girls, who are underage, have faced the action in the past, but there has been no change in the ground situation as these little riders could still be seen riding the two-wheelers without any hesitation. It seems that the authorities concerned are reluctant to put an end to such grave norm violations. Many fatal accidents involving young boys and girls have been reported in the past and thus leaving the families and their relatives in utter shock forever. At this juncture when the MVD has been suspending the licences as well as blacklisting the vehicles for violating the traffic rules, there is a need to stop these young riders to ride the two-wheelers to prevent the loss of precious lives as well as reducing the number of road accidents. The concerned authorities should gear up and start a fresh and massive drive against these violators so that the underage boys and girls are prevented from riding the two-wheelers. Moreover, the parents should also stop their beloved ones, who are underage, from riding the motorcycles so that their precious lives are saved. The parents should motivate their children not to ride the two-wheelers till they are entitled to get a valid license.
