Srinagar, Feb 23: An elderly man died after being hit by a moving train in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official said that an 80-year-old man, Sanaullah Bhat, son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, a resident of Lajoora, Pulwama, was critically injured after being hit by a train in Nowgam.
He said the injured was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident.
