Srinagar, Mar 8: Two persons were killed after they were hit by a speedy ambulance in Parimpora area of Srinagar on Wednesday morning, officials said here.
An official said that during intervening night, an ambulance bearing Registration number JK02B-8302 has hit two pedestrians near children hospital Bemina Parimpora, leaving them critically injured.
Both the Injured persons were rushed to JVC Hospital for treatment, however the duo succumbed to their injuries shortly after admission, he said.
The deceased as per the official have been identified as Ali Mohd Dar (56) son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Nowpara Baramullah and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan (48) son of Gulam Ahmad Chopian resident of Hadipora Rafiabad.
A case under relevant sections of laws has been registered and the ambulance driver has been arrested, the official said. (KNO)
