The special camp organized by the regional Passport Office (RPO) Srinagar for the first time to ease the sufferings of Hajj aspirants has been appreciated by the people across the Valley as it has helped the aspirants to get the passport ahead of their scheduled pilgrimage. The aspirants were earlier facing hardships to get their passports renewed or issued as the huge rush of people at the RPO here was consuming their time. But, the government of India after approving the request made by the RPO Srinagar has brought smiles on the faces of the Hajj aspirants. Such a move is always appreciable and needs to be taken every year to mitigate the sufferings of Hajj aspirants. A total of 750 passports have been printed by the RPO yesterday and in the next two days, the Hajj aspirants will get these passports at their doorsteps through the speed post, the Regional Passport Officer (RPO) has said. In such a way, the Hajj aspirants have been relieved from a huge burden and the people have been praising the move of the administration. The RPO has been doing well as the issue of pendency of cases has been addressed as from 6000 cases in December last year, the number has reached to 2500 only, which shows the hard work and the dedication of the officers. The government should continue to take measures like organizing special camps for Hajj aspirants and help the people to get the facilities at their doorsteps. Such camps are the need of the hour given the rush of the people outside the passport office here.
