Handwara, Mar 13: The Health and Medical Education (H&ME) department on Monday designated Community Health Centre (CHC) Langate as 50 bedded associate hospital of GMC Handwara.
According to an order, “Sanction is hereby accorded to shifting of administrative control of CHC Langate from Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir to Government Medical College Handwara and Designation of CHC Langate as 50 bedded Associate Hospital of GMC Handwara.”
“The Hospital as referred above, shall henceforth serve as Referral Hospital/ Associated Hospital attached with the New Government Medical College Handwara, being established in District Kupwara (Handwara) in the UT of J&K under the centrally Sponsored Scheme “Establishment of New Medical colleges attached with Existing District / Referral Hospitals,” the order issued by Secretary to the Government, Bhupinder Kumar, said.
“The above arrangement shall continue till the 500 bedded Hospital at GMC Handwara is made operational,” it further stated. (KNO)
