16th Civil Services Day celebrated at Bandipora

Bandipora, Apr 21: The District Administration Bandipora Friday celebrated the 16th Civil Services Day to recognize the contribution of civil servants towards the development of the Nation under the theme, ‘Viksit Bharat – Empowering Citizens and Reaching the last mile’.
The event was presided over by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad who lauded the efforts of civil servants in achieving developmental goals across the Nation. He emphasized the importance of public service and urged the officials to continue to work towards the welfare of the people and development of the Nation.
The programme was attended by SSP Bandipora, Lakshay Sharma; ADDC Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan; ACR Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani and other officers of the District Administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Owais stated that the Civil Services Day celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the role of civil servants in the development of the district and the nation as a whole. He also appreciated the efforts of the civil servants in ensuring the smooth functioning of the government machinery.
Dr. Owais said the District Administration of Bandipora has always been committed to the welfare of the people and will continue to work towards achieving the developmental goals of the district. The 16th Civil Services Day celebration is a testimony to the commitment of the civil servants towards their duty and responsibility towards society.
The program was coordinated by Program Manager DIC Bandipora Mehraj Wani.
Every year, on 21st April, National Civil Services Day is celebrated in India as a token of appreciation for all officers, engaged in various public departments in the country, who work tirelessly to run India’s administrative machinery. This day also acts as a reminder for civil servants, working in various departments, of the cause to serve the citizens of the country above all else.
At the culmination of the event, various officers, including ADDC, Nodal Officer Coordination, ADC, ACR, ACP, DFO,Tehsildar Bandipora, PM DIC Bandipora, ExEn PDD Bandipora/ Sumbal, DSHO, CAHO were felicitated for their meritorious contributions and services.
