Srinagar, May 12: Srinagar Municipal Corporation today demolished shops being illegally raised by a retired revenue official in the Nowshera area of Srinagar outskirts.
Reports said that a team led by a concerned ward officer rushed to Nowshera after receiving information that several shops were being constructed illegally on the land owned by a retired Patwari.
SMC team demolished the walls and warned of strict action if the construction work started without seeking permission from the authorities. [KNT]
