Pulwama, May 16: The residents of Khrew town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded repair and macadamisation of internal roads of the town.
The residents of the area said that the roads in the town area are lying in dilapidated condition while no attention is being given towards it.
Yawar Ahmad, a local resident said that a road from Babapora Khrew to the new colony is lying in dilapidated condition due to which residents of the area are facing inconvenience.
Despite submitting town fees and other fees, no facilities are available in the town, he said.
Shakeel, another local said that internal roads in the town are in bad condition as they haven’t been macadamised for long now
“What is fun about remaining in town when roads of far flung areas are much better than ours,” he said.
The local residents alleged that despite visiting offices of concerned officials several times nothing has been done on ground.
“We have visited the offices of executive engineer R&B, AEE and even the office of Executive Officer MC Khrew is being knocked everyday where we are being assured that roads will be repaired soon,” they said.
Since last two years their assurances have proved a hoax on ground, they said. Local residents have sought attention of DC Pulwama in this regard.
