After Karnataka, the students have been allegedly asked not to enter the school premises while wearing Abaya, which draws flak as the different political parties, organizations issued statements, calling it an unfortunate incident. However, the school administration here cleared the air in a short span as it informed that there has been no restriction on wearing Abaya, but the students should wear the uniform underneath the Abaya. The protest on such issues is giving a chance to the political leaders to take the mileage from it and simultaneously in the Thursday’s incident, different political parties and leaders issued statements in this regard while some among them termed it as the religious interference. One fails to understand why the issue has been taken out of the blue when the administration has made it clear that no ban has been imposed on Abaya within the school premises. However, the uniform for the students with or without the Abaya, is imperative in the schools as it gives a look of equality among the students, thus there should be interference in this regard and all the girls willing to wear the Abaya should not be restricted to enter to the institute or any girl reluctant to wear Abaya should not be forced for it. It is the right of every single individual to wear anything according to his or her choice, but the school administrations should be barred from interfering into the matter until and unless the issue creates any hindrance in imparting education among the students. The colleges, schools and other educational institutions are meant to impart education among the students; therefore, such issues need to be ignored as it can never play any role in getting better education in any manner.
