Several Srinagar roads crave for macadamization

Despite the Smart City works going on in several areas across Srinagar, the commuters continue to face hardships while passing through different routes in Srinagar City as the bumpy roads continue to give jumpy rides to them. Most of the commuters have been complaining of back pain as well as damage to their vehicles as according to them, the situation of roads is worsening with each passing day, especially in Old city areas. Some of the roads are witnessing damages due to the ongoing works, but it has become quite difficult for the people to travel through these roads as it consumes a lot of time to cover even a short distance every day. One cannot imagine the sufferings of commuters, which they are facing day-n and day-out as the roads continue to crave for the macadamization, which is pushing the travellers to the wall. As the works are going on, the authorities must direct the executing agencies to pace up the work and ensure that the macadamization of busiest roads, especially in the interiors of Old City areas are completed at the shortest possible time so that the commuters could heave a sigh of relief. The Old City residents deserve the facilities at par with the other areas and thus it becomes imperative to make sure that the process of development and macadamization on priority is started under the ongoing smart city project so that the miseries of people will come to an immediate end.
