Srinagar, Jul 18: A woman died while her husband was injured in a road accident in Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
An official said that a scooty met with an accident in Wahab Sahab area of Khrew, resulting in injuries to a couple riding on it.
He said that the duo was shifted to a nearby hospital, where from they were referred to SMHS Srinagar. “However, woman succumbed to her injuries at SMHS hospital,” he said.
Deceased has been identified as Shahzada Banoo of Larvae Kakapora and her husband was identified as Mohammad Altaf Ganaie.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
