The footfall of foreign tourists is inching towards record-breaking in Jammu and Kashmir this year as the number of visitors has increased manifold, especially after the first-ever international event—G20, held earlier this year in the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir—Srinagar. In the recent past, the presence of foreigners from different countries was found after a section of the media interviewed them. The foreigners from Czech, United Arab Emirates, Poland and other countries were spotted in Kashmir recently while as the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha has also informed that the United States would likely lift the travel ban soon. The indication as well as the presence of existing foreign tourists in Kashmir put a huge responsibility on the shoulders of administration, especially the concerned Tourism department to take some measures to attract and appease more and more foreign tourists to Jammu & Kashmir. At the same time, there is a need to organize some cultural events at different places, which would not only help making the tourists enjoy, but would also help in promoting the local culture infront of the tourists from different places. Organizing the cultural events at tourist places in particular would also help the youth and artists also to get the employment opportunity. It is the time when the administration should consider organizing the cultural events at the tourist places across Jammu & Kashmir on regular basis to make the evening more beautiful for tourists and also give a bit more push to the employment opportunities for the youngsters and also taking an advantage of the situation to promote the local culture at the different platforms.
