Budgam, Aug 28: The dilapidated condition of Surasyar -Chadoora road in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has left the commuters especially drivers anguished, who have appealed to the concerned department to fulfill their demands at an earliest.
The drivers staged a protest in this regard at Mohnoor Chadoora Monday and said that their vehicles are suffering damage everyday due to the dilapidated condition of the road.
One among the protestors said that, “We took to the streets a number of times to press for our demands but all in vain as the concerned authorities have failed to take any step in this regard,” the driver said, adding that they also approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but no steps were taken to redress their grievances.
They urged the higher ups to look into the matter and repair the road as soon as possible.
