Srinagar, Sep 4: Just a few days ahead of the annual Urs at Hazrat Makhdoom Sahab (RA) shrine, the devotees, who are thronging to the shrine on regular basis have to face immense hardships as all the three roads leading to the religious place are in shambles, thus giving tough time to them.
Pertinently, the annual Urs of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Sahib (RA), is scheduled to commence in coming days, during which a huge rush of devotees could be witnessed at the shrine.
However, the locals said that all the roads leading to the shrine have developed potholes, causing huge inconvenience to the people.
“The shambles condition of all the three main roads is pushing the devotees to the wall. Whenever it rains, the road turns into a small pond as the muddy water gets accumulated on the potholed roads,” said a local resident.
“I travel on the route on a daily basis, and the condition of the road is very bad,” added Junaid Ahmad, another local while urging the administration to look into the matter at an earliest so that the devotees could heave a sigh of relief.
