Awareness Camps on Special Summary Revision held at Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 15: In an effort to ensure accurate and up-to-date electoral rolls, the District Election Office Kupwara organized Special Summary Revision Awareness Camps at various places in the district.
These camps are aimed to enhance awareness among the residents regarding the importance of voter registration and the ongoing summary revision process.
The camps provided a platform for citizens to verify and update their voter information, ensuring that the electoral rolls reflect their recent and accurate details. Electoral officials, EROs/ AEROs were present to assist individuals in completing the necessary Forms, addressing queries and facilitating the registration process.
ACR Kupwara, Irfan Bahadur, while addressing the audience at Degree College Kupwara, Polytechnic Kupwara and Govt College for women at sailkoote emphasized on the significance of citizen participation in the democratic process. He said that the right to vote empowers us to participate and impact policies of the govt. This is the most powerful weapon in our hands in a democracy.
Similar Awareness camps were held at various places in Main Market Kupwara, Govt Degree College Handwara, GDC Langate, GDC Karnah, ITI Kupwara and in various Higher Secondary Schools of the District covering all the Assembly Constituencies.
These awareness camps promote inclusivity and encourage eligible individuals to exercise their right to vote. The officials conducting these camps urged the residents to actively engage in this initiative, contributing to the strengthening of the democratic foundation.
These Special Summary Revision Awareness Camps exemplify the commitment of administration to transparency and inclusiveness in the electoral process, fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the people of District Kupwara.
