B2V-5 concludes at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 15: The third and final round of the government’s ambitious Back to Village (B2V5) phase-V programme concluded successfully Wednesday in 41 Panchayats thus covering all 126 Panchayats of the district.
The programme witnessed huge public participation across all areas during all three rounds, reflecting the success of the programme and high expectations of the people in the UT of J&K and District Administration in bringing a positive change for development, and prosperity of the district.
The visiting officers (VOs) today along with supporting staff and field functionaries of the line departments listened to villagers participating in the Gram Sabhas and prepared the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per their needs.
VOs reviewed the penetration of Govt Schemes and service delivery. They also held interaction meetings with the general public, especially youth, awareness on Self-Employment schemes and took feedback on welfare schemes.
The VOs inspected various government institutions and visited the sites of ongoing and completed works under various schemes. They exhorted upon the penetration of online services in the rural population to expedite the public services delivery in a transparent manner.
Meanwhile, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani participated in the proceeding of B2V5 programme at Panchayat Mammar-A.
On the occasion the resource persons of various departments educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
The ADDC maintained that the B2V-5 programme is aimed to involve the general public and government officials in a joint effort to deliver equitable development and ensure that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries in rural areas.
Meanwhile, the Youth Services and Sports department Ganderbal conducted various sports and cultural activities in 41 Panchayats of the district in which around 1191 youth/students participated.
