Kathua, Nov 21: Union Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Kavita Garg who is designated Prabhari Officer for Kathua district Tuesday presided over a series of events at Panchayat Sahar where overwhelming participation of people was witnessed.
The visit of the officer was part of outreach programme, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which was formally kick started across India on 15th November 2023.
While interacting with the inhabitants of Panchayat Sahar, Union Joint Secretary said the aim of the outreach initiative of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was to enroll potential beneficiaries during the Panchayat-to-Panchayat campaign where saturation of all centrally as well as state sponsored schemes are being targeted.
Kavita Garg acknowledged that the implementation of such programmes is crucial to ensure the last mile potential beneficiaries receive the benefits they are entitled to. Speaking about the importance of these programmes, the officer highlighted how providing equitable access to schemes and benefits is a key pillar of good governance.
