Srinagar, Nov 25: The residents of Kaka Sarai area in Srinagar are grappling with deplorable road conditions, raising concerns about the state of infrastructure in their locality.
The deteriorating roads have become a major source of inconvenience for the local population, the inhabitants said.
The locals in Kaka Sarai expressed their anguish over the poor condition of the roads, saying that they are facing challenges while commuting through the road on a regular basis.
The roads, riddled with potholes and uneven surfaces, not only pose a threat to vehicle safety but also contribute to increased travel times for residents.
Local resident, Amir Bashir expressing his anguish said, the road conditions here have become absolutely pathetic. “It’s a daily struggle to navigate through the potholes, and we fear for the safety of our vehicles,” Bashir said.
Similarly, shopkeepers and business owners in the area are also feeling the impact of the shambles condition of the road.
Saleem Ahmed, who runs a shop, said, “The customers hesitate to visit our shops due to the poor condition of roads and thus affecting our businesses. We urge the authorities to address this issue urgently.”
Meanwhile, Kaka Sarai residents here have demanded authorities to take immediate steps to repair and upgrade the roads, as the deteriorating infrastructure not only affects daily life but also raises concerns about emergency services’ ability to reach the area promptly.
