DC Srinagar holds introductory meeting with district, sectoral officers

Srinagar, Jan 9: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Tuesday chaired an introductory meeting with District and Sectoral Officers of Srinagar here in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to set the tune for effective approach towards the holistic development of the District and ensuring prompt and quality disposal of public grievances/issues.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner, while chairing the maiden meeting after assuming the charge of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, enjoined upon all Officers to work with utmost dedication and commitment for the welfare of people. He also enjoined upon them to ensure speedy execution of works for holistic development of the District, besides implementing Government policies and schemes on ground in letter and spirit.
The DC further called upon the Officers to be responsive and accessible to people all times and foster quick decision making abilities in resolving public grievances. He called for maintaining close coordination among Departments for holistic and planned development of the District.
The DC also laid emphasis on District/ Sectoral Officers for adopting a public friendly approach and maintaining accountability and transparency in the working of all Government Offices. He asked the Officers to give due respect to the people visiting the Government Offices.
He enjoined upon the officers to ensure utmost punctuality in the offices, besides maintaining proper discipline.
The Officers were asked to pace up the works to achieve the set targets under deliverables, Good Governance Index and other parameters on the developmental front for making Srinagar one among the developed and prosper District.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Shabir Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Ahmad Kataria, Programme Officer ICDS, Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, General Manager DIC, Hamida Akhtar, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, besides, Superintending Engineers of PDD, R&B, Sub Divisional Magistrate East/West, all Tehsildars and all District & Sectoral Officers were present on the occasion.
