Kulgam, Jan 22: At least six people were injured after being attacked by a wild boar (wild pig) in the main town of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
An official said that a wild boar appeared in the market and injured six persons.
He said all the injured were rushed to district hospital Kulgam for treatment.
“The hospital has received six injured people who were attacked by a wild boar. They are being treated and vaccines have been administered to them,” official at the hospital said.
He said the condition of all the injured persons is stable.
Meanwhile, the wildlife department and Kulgam police later rushed to the spot. After strenuous efforts, the wild boar has been tranquilised and shifted to safer place. (KNO)
