J&K police top gallantry awards list, bag 72 medals

Srinagar, Jan 25: Jammu and Kashmir police have bagged 72 gallantry medals and have once again topped the medals’ list this Republic Day.

Gallantry medals are awarded to policemen across the country for their meritorious and distinguished services on the eve of Republic Day every year.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha felicitated all the members of Jammu and Kashmir, who have been awarded Gallantry and Service Medals.
“I extend my warm felicitations to all members of @JmuKmrPolice who have been awarded 86 Gallantry/Service Medals, including the highest count of 72 Gallantry Medals. The entire nation is proud of your courage and selfless service,” Office of LG J&K wrote on X.
“@JmuKmrPolice, entrusted with sensitive & difficult task of countering terrorism, maintaining law & order, narco-terrorism and various new age policing challenges.
