Just a few days are left for the schools to reopen after the three-month-long winter vacations in the Valley, the authorities concerned have geared up to ensure fool-proof arrangements for the occasion and also for the upcoming examinations. The teachers have already joined the educational institutions Wednesday while the students would be attending their first class in the first week of March. However, the Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr Tassaduq Hussain Mir conducted an extensive tour of several far-flung areas to take firsthand appraisal of the preparations for opening of schools and the upcoming examinations. The directions passed to the concerned authorities to make sure that all the arrangements are put in place on time and the staff was asked to ensure the opening of the schools a festive celebration. The opening of schools is itself a joy and festive occasion for the students as well as the teachers, but what needs to be done is to ensure proper arrangements like heating and others for the students so that they would not face hardships. While the minimum temperature in Srinagar and other places continue to remain below freezing point, it becomes imperative for the concerned department to make sure that the heating arrangements in all the schools as well as the examination centres is ensure for the young lads so that they will not face any kind of inconvenience during the exams or attending the classes. The department needs to gear up and ensure no school is left without the important facility for the students so that the educational institutions would attract them further.
