Sopore, Apr 19: Some unknown miscreants have chopped off over a dozen apple trees of an orchardist in Saidpora village of north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
The owner of the orchard said that he felt “devastated” after people reported to him that someone had chopped off the apple trees of his orchard.
In a viral video, the owner can be seen mourning the loss. He appealed to the police to identify the culprits and book them under the law so that in the future no such incident takes place.
He said, “I went to the orchard and saw trees either uprooted or chopped off, it was a frightening sight leaving me frustrated over why this could have happened.”
“I am sure those who have chopped off my trees can kill me also. I appeal to the police to identify these miscreants,” he said. [KNT]
