Srinagar, May 29: Police in Baramulla solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.
Police Station Uri received a written application from Shakeel Ahmad Parray resident of Garkote Uri stating therein that during the intervening night of 22-April 2024 some unknown thieves have entered into his house and took away cash and gold items. Upon this information, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Uri and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were brought for questioning. During questioning, one suspected person identified as Imran Ahmad Parray son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Balkote Uri admitted his involvement in the commission of crime. On his disclosure, stolen items including 7 golden rings, 01 golden ear ring, 01 mobile phone and cash amount of Rs 20000 was recovered. He has been arrested in the instant case and further investigation is going on.
