Srinagar, Jul 8: Waseem Ramzan, a youth dedicated to empowerment of young from Sudergund Hangah Handwara has organized a cricket tournament in North Kashmir.
Son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, Waseem Ramzan not only pursues a career but also devotes his off days and holidays to organizing events that promote youth engagement in sports and combat drug abuse.
He said the cricket tournament attracted participation from young cricketers representing diverse villages and communities in North Kashmir. “My aims is to provide constructive avenues for local youth and safeguard them from the pitfalls of substance abuse,” he said.
“Through sports, we can offer youth an alternative path—a path of camaraderie, discipline, and resilience,” Waseem said, highlighting his commitment to community leadership.
“We are immensely proud of Waseem’s dedication to our community,” said Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, Waseem’s father.
He creates opportunities for our youth to thrive, he added.
