Govt to establish MRI, Cath Lab in GMC Baramulla this year: Sakeena Itoo

Srinagar, Aug 27: Hours after being given the mandate from crucial Lal Chowk constituency, National Conference (NC) Provincial Vice President from Kashmir Province, Ahsan Pardesi Tuesday said that his two-decades of survey will end the miseries of people residing in his constituency if voted to power.
Expressing happiness over the party’s decision, Ahsan said that he will fight tooth and nail to come up to the expectations of the party.
“Since it is for the first time that he would be participating in the polls directly, I am hopeful that the party will emerge victorious from Lal Chowk constituency with a lead of 30,000 votes, “Ahsan said while talking to reporters at his home during celebrations over getting the ticket for assembly polls.
Ahsan said that in the recent Lok Sabha elections, NC won the Lal Chowk constituency seat with a margin of 15,000 votes and this time, the party will take a lead of more than 30,000 votes.
About the challenges and the competitors in Lal Chowk assembly constituency, Ahsan said, “There is always a competition between all parties in the elections, but I am confident that the work I have done in the past 20 years will end up in winning the elections for the party from the Lal Chowk assembly segment.”
He further said that the party has always worked hard for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Our representatives in Parliament are proof of our hard work.”
Asked about the grievances of people including those who were associated with stone quarry work, Ahsan said, there is hardly any place or area in his constituency where he has not reached till yet. “I am aware of each and every grievance. I will try my level best to resolve all the issues, which my people are facing,” he said.
He also said that he will also look into the issue of increasing the number of wine shops within his constituency, saying that the party will never allow Kashmir Valley to turn into the hub of these shops.
Meanwhile, dozens of workers reached Ahsan’s residence this afternoon and celebrated his candidature from Lal Chowk constituency. (KNO)
