DEO Bandipora finalizes arrangements for Assembly elections

Bandipora, Sep 27: The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Friday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to finalize arrangements for the upcoming assembly elections scheduled to be held on 1st October in Bandipora District.
The DEO took detailed feedback from the concerned regarding law and order, poll day reporting, MCC complaint and permission status, DCRC arrangements, Non EVM material readiness, status of Voter Information Slip distribution, training status of poll staff, AMF at polling station, and other necessary poll arrangements.
He assessed the progress of plantation initiatives at polling locations, marking of electoral rolls, and security measures to ensure a safe environment for voters.
The DEO said the administration is committed to ensure a transparent and smooth electoral process, and it is vital that all stakeholders work together diligently to uphold the integrity of elections.
He urged everyone involved to complete their assignments efficiently and on time to facilitate voter participation.
He further instructed all officers and officials to prioritize prompt communication and coordination to address any emerging issues swiftly besides stressed adherence to ECI guidelines.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, ADC/Nodal Officer MCC Zaffar Husson Shawal, DyDEO Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, ACD Irfan Bahadur, Election Nodal officers, DySP HQ, and other concerned.
RO 15-Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, RO 14-Sonwari Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh, RO 16-Gurez Mukhtar Ahmad also attended the meeting in virtual mode.
