The hospitals in Bemina including JVC as well as the Valley’s lone Children’s hospital are visiting a huge rush of patients on a regular basis, but unfortunately there has been no mechanism in place to provide some sigh of relief to them. Not only the absence of the foot bridge, the absence of U-turns along the route for the commuters is further pushing the common masses to the wall. One fails to understand why there is no cut along the route, which is only adding to the misery of the people visiting the major hospitals for want of treatment. The hospitals witness a huge rush of patients on regular basis including the day as well as the night hours, but unfortunately, there has been no concrete measure in this regard to ensure there is an end to the sufferings of the patients. The concerned authorities must look into the matter and ensure a couple of U-turns along the route. The U-turns have always remained the talk of the town in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir as at several places, these U-turns have been closed after constructions for no reasons while at multiple places, there are no U-turns even when the demand of such facilities are more important and pivotal. There is a need to take proper attention towards the U-turns and ensure all the blocked U-turns are kept open for the commuters and also identify the spots where the U-turns are necessary so that the people could heave a sigh of relief.
