The recently concluded Legends League Cricket-2024 at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium witnessed a huge rush of people, who thronged from different parts of the Valley and Jammu areas to cheer for their favourite teams and players, who have played for different countries in international cricket. However, the stadium had not enough space to cater the rush of the entire cricket enthusiastic from across Jammu and Kashmir as many of the people have reportedly left disappointed as they didn’t get a space to cheer for their favourite team and players. Over 27,000 people have gathered at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir, to witness the thrilling final of the Legends League Cricket. Such a situation has indicated that a lot of work has to be done in this regard to ensure that the leagues and tournaments like this would accommodate the flow of crowd easily. As the government in Jammu and Kashmir has upgraded the sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, but it has come to the fore that much more measures have to be taken in this regard to ensure that the people would not face any hardships while aspiring to witness the international matches in Srinagar. At this juncture, the concerned authorities need to take apt steps and measures so that the cricket enthusiastic is not left disappointed in the future and the people here would be able to cheer for their favourite teams and players without facing any inconvenience.
