Srinagar, Oct 26: Advisor to Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, Saturday inaugurated exhibition titled ‘Revelations” – Artful insights’ at City Mall, Lal Chowk here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Advisor appreciated the noble mission and motive of the organiser of the event. “Such initiatives greatly help the society towards protection, promotion and preservation of our age old cultural legacy and identify,” he maintained.
The organisers, Second Lives Art Guild, is an art group which comprises of self taught artists. The event has been organised to showcase their talent and inspire people especially young generation to evolve and polish their talent and hobbies by keeping their passion alive for inherent talent and skills for which Kashmir is famous for globally.
The group’s motto is to inspire masses to explore nature, art, culture, heritage and to scale off the screen time and gadgets.
The exhibition will culminate on 27th of October, 2024.
Director, Handicrafts & Handlooms Kashmir, Mehmood Shah, Former Dean faculty of Fine Arts, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi, Professor Zargar Zahoor was also present on the occasion.
The participant artists included Dr. Jehangir Aslam, Er. Shazia Basharat, Er. Nabi, Saqib Kachroo and other young guest artists like Falak Iqbal, Iqra Shabaan, Sameer Shafi and Umar Hassan.
