30-hr water shutdown: JSD keeps stock of 2.61 lakh litres available for consumers

Srinagar, Feb 21: Ahead of the 30-hour water shutdown, the Jal Shakti Department (JSD) has kept over 2.61 liters of water stock available for the consumers in the areas where the water supply would remain affected from Saturday.
A top official in the JSD said that 15 water tanks with the capacity of 9,000 litres each have already been kept available for the consumers while additional 14 water tankers with the capacity of 9,000 litres have been brought from different areas to ensure that the consumers in the affected areas would not face any hardships.
“In order to cater the needs of people in the next 30 hours from tomorrow, we have made available a total of 29 water tankers with 9,000 litres each. We will ensure that nobody faces inconvenience in the next 30 hours from (Saturday),” he said.
The 29 water tankers having a capacity of 2.61 lakh litres water has been stocked for the consumers.
