BJP felicitates newly appointed Srinagar team

Srinagar, May 5: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today felicitated the newly appointed district team for Srinagar following extensive consultations with National General Secretary and J&K-UT Prabhari Tarun Chugh, State President Sat Paul Sharma (CA), General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kaul, and Kashmir Province Prabhari and Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma.
According to the party, the reconstituted team includes both new and experienced members, with a clear mandate to strengthen BJP’s grassroots presence and organizational structure in the Srinagar district.
Hilal Ahmed Wani, Dr. Ashok Koul, Haji Parvaiz Ahmed Bhat, Nadeem Ahmed Mayer (Qasba), Ghulam Rasool Dar, and Nazir Ahmed Mir have been appointed as Vice Presidents. Wajahat Hussain Jan and Javaid Ahmed Sofi will serve as General Secretaries.
The new team of Secretaries includes Javaid Janbaaz, Abid Mir, Mehraj U Din Khan, Mohd Ishaq Ahmed Dar, Nazima Bakal, Anita Chandpuri, Er. Kamran Bhat, and Adv. Syed Sujhat Rizvi, who will also take on the role of party spokesperson.
In addition, Liyakat Ali and Mudasir Bazaz have been named as additional spokespersons, while Er. Wajahat Hussain will serve as the official spokesperson. Gul Imtiyaz has been appointed as Treasurer. Uzair Khursheed Sofi will handle responsibilities under Cate Sheikh Sap Ly Sharatiya Janata Pant.
Abid Hussain Mir will oversee media affairs as Media Incharge, and Atif Jahangeer Bhat will serve as IT Incharge.
The party leadership expressed confidence that the newly constituted team will infuse fresh energy into BJP’s district-level functioning and play a pivotal role in expanding outreach, mobilizing support, and enhancing coordination across Srinagar.
