Put teachers at the centre

Jammu and Kashmir is heading towards progress with the central government eyeing major infrastructure boost in the region by approving 19 road and tunnel projects, getting praises from the people as well as the administration in the Union Territory as well. Among the 19 projects, a long-pending dream of thousands of people from Karnah tehsil has finally turned into reality as Government of India after the completion of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has officially approved the Sadhna Tunnel project, a life-changing decision that brings new hope, safety and development to this border region of Jammu & Kashmir. For decades, the people of Karnah have endured hardships due to the dangerous and snow-prone Sadhna Top, which cuts off the area from the rest of the Valley during harsh winters. Many families have tragically lost loved ones to accidents and medical emergencies caused by sudden road blockages and snow avalanches on this treacherous route. The pain of isolation and helplessness every winter has been an unavoidable reality. But now, those dark days are about to end. With the construction of the Sadhna Tunnel, all-weather connectivity will become a reality. No more getting stranded due to heavy snow, no more waiting for roads to reopen, and no more risking lives for daily essentials. This tunnel promises to open doors for economic growth, better healthcare, improved education, and overall progress for this neglected region. By approving the project, the Government of India will not only push J&K towards progress, but has won the hearts of people as well, which were waiting for this much-awaited project for a long time.
