IGP promotes 175 Assistant Sub-Inspectors

Srinagar, Jul 12:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V.K. Birdi (IPS) has issued formal promotion orders for 175 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of Executive Police, elevating them to the rank of Sub-Inspectors.
These officers were earlier placed on promotion list “E” as per PHQ J&K Order No. 4347 of 2022 dated 31-12-2022, and Order No. 721 of 2025 dated 25-02-2025. The promotions pertain to officers whose lien and seniority lie with the Kashmir Zone.
IGP Birdi congratulated the newly promoted officers and their families, expressing confidence that they will continue to uphold public peace, maintain law and order, and work with renewed dedication towards the service of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
