Srinagar, Jul 21: The 12th match of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League, powered by Athwas Hyundai and JK Sports Council, delivered another memorable encounter as United Elegant FC clinched a gritty 1-0 win over Greenend Heroes FC amidst relentless rainfall and unshaken crowd energy at the TRC Turf Ground.
Despite weather challenges, the game stood as a testament to the passion for football surging through the Valley — a movement Khyber Cement proudly supports and nurtures through this premier league. The match’s only goal came from AakifReshi, whose clinical strike proved decisive and sealed a hard-earned victory for United Elegant FC.
The high-octane clash saw tactical discipline from both sides, but it was United Elegant FC’s composure that ultimately turned the tide. From edge-of-the-seat defence to inspiring midfield coordination, the players showcased the spirit of the game – the very ethos Khyber Cement stands by: building from the heart – Dil Se Banao.
Match Awards Presented:
Shabir Ahmad (United Elegant FC) clinched Khyber Cement Game Changer Award . Player of the Match was awarded to Aakif Reshi (United Elegant FC). The Athwas Golden Moment Award was given to SowbanHilal (United Elegant FC). Basit Bhat (Greenend Heroes FC) wins Events Emporio X Factor Excellence Award .
Gracing the post-match felicitation ceremony were Nisar Ahmad (SWFC Baramulla), Adil Rashid (SHO Kothi Bagh), and from Khyber Cement where Najeeb Mehraj and Imran Malik. Their presence and encouragement reinforced Khyber Cement’s unwavering commitment to empowering youth and creating platforms for excellence through sport.
As football fever continues to rise across the Valley, the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League emerges not just as a sporting event, but as a movement — one match at a time.
