Srinagar, Nov 26: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmed Wani on Wednesday announced the formation of a task force to monitor schools for any violation of government regulations.
Wani said district-level committees have been constituted to keep a close watch on schools and ensure strict adherence to norms laid down by the government.
“The committees have been framed at district levels to check any violations of regulations,” he told reporters here.
The DSEK stated that all schools are mandated to teach NCERT textbooks. “NCERT books have to be taught in schools. If we receive any complaint in this regard, the government will act upon it,” Wani said.
He also said that the government has announced winter vacations for schools in view of the prevailing cold weather conditions in the Valley. (KINS)
