Jammu, Mar 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his heartiest greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, which will be celebrated Thursday.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor has said: “On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all.
The festival commemorates the sacred birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram, the epitome of virtue and righteousness. His exemplary life stands as a timeless testament to the enduring principles of compassion, humility, unwavering commitment to truth, selfless dedication to duty and the discipline.
The sacred occasion of Ram Navami inspires us to follow Prabhu Shri Ram’s timeless ideals and life values in our daily lives and selflessly serve the humanity. I pray that Prabhu Shri Ram shower his divine blessings upon us in the years ahead, and may this auspicious Ram Navami fill every home with enduring peace, boundless joy, and abundant prosperity.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In his message, the Chief Minister described Shri Ram as the embodiment of righteousness, virtue and exemplary conduct.
Underscoring the timeless relevance of Shri Ram’s life and teachings, the Chief Minister remarked that his ideals serve as a guiding light, encouraging people to walk the path of righteousness and selfless service.
He further noted that Ram Navami is not merely a religious celebration, but also an occasion to reaffirm our shared commitment to the service of humanity with sincerity and dedication.
The Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of all the people of Jammu and Kashmir and extended his warm wishes to those celebrating the sacred festival.
Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, Wednesday extended his warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
He said that the festival holds immense religious and cultural significance and is celebrated with great fervour and devotion across Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Chief Minister expressed hope that the sacred occasion would usher in the blessings of Lord Rama, bringing peace, prosperity, and well-being to all.
He further stated that Ram Navami serves as a reminder of the timeless values of righteousness, compassion, and truth, and hoped that the festival would strengthen the spirit of love, harmony, and brotherhood among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo also extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami.
In her message, the Minister highlighted that Ram Navami symbolizes the principles of righteousness, compassion, truth, and devotion, that continue to inspire generations. She noted that such sacred occasions reinforce the spirit of harmony, mutual respect and cultural unity that has long defined the social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Minister also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, IT and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In his message, the Minister highlighted the immense religious and cultural significance of the festival, which commemorates the birth of Lord Ram, an embodiment of righteousness, virtue and ideal leadership. He said that Lord Ram’s life and teachings continue to serve as a guiding force for the humanity, inspiring people to uphold truth, justice, compassion and humility in all spheres of life.
Satish Sharma said that Ram Navami is not merely a religious festival but a celebration of timeless values that foster harmony, discipline and ethical conduct in society. He emphasized that the ideals of “Ram Rajya” symbolize good governance, equality and welfare of all, which remain relevant even in the present times.
The Minister stressed that Jammu and Kashmir has always been a land of rich cultural diversity and composite heritage, where people of different faiths and backgrounds have lived together in peace and mutual respect. He said that such occasions further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, communal harmony and social cohesion.
Calling for collective responsibility, Satish Sharma urged the people to celebrate the festival with devotion, simplicity and adherence to traditional values, while also ensuring cleanliness and respect for public spaces. He appealed the citizens to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged and share the joy of the festival with those in need.
Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In his message, the Minister conveyed his sincere wishes for peace, prosperity and happiness, expressing hope that the festival would further strengthen the spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding across the Union Territory.
Highlighting the profound spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion, he observed that Ram Navami symbolizes the triumph of righteousness and moral values, as exemplified by the life and teachings of Lord Rama.
The Minister exhorted the people to follow the teachings of Lord Rama in their true spirit, observing that these timeless ideals remain highly relevant even in the present materialistic society and can help rid society of various social evils. He added that such pious occasions not only promote a sense of communal harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding among the people but also bring joy, peace and prosperity to all.
He further prayed for the well-being, good health and prosperity of all citizens and reiterated the need for unity and collective efforts in ensuring sustained peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
