Srinagar, May 4: Mohammed Ashraf Hakak on Monday assumed charge as the Director of Estates, Kashmir, succeeding Ashwani Kumar Khajuria.
Officials said the formal handing-over ceremony was held at the office of the Director Estates Kashmir in a cordial atmosphere and was attended by senior officers and officials of the department.
After taking over, Hakak reiterated his commitment to ensuring an efficient, transparent and people-centric administration in the Estates Department. He also underlined the need for timely service delivery and effective management of government assets, they said.
Outgoing director Khajuria extended his best wishes to his successor for a successful tenure.
The development marks a new phase in the functioning of the department, with a stated focus on improved governance and public service, officials added. (KNS)
