Bandipora, Jun 4: In a major milestone for healthcare services in the district, District Hospital Bandipora successfully conducted its first-ever Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgical procedure, marking the beginning of specialized ENT surgical services at the hospital.
The landmark surgery, a Septoplasty for correction of a deviated nasal septum, was successfully performed by ENT Specialist Dr. Raies and his team. The successful completion of the procedure reflects the hospital’s growing capacity to provide advanced healthcare services closer to the people of Bandipora.
The surgery was assisted by Consultant Anaesthetist Dr. Iqbal Fateh along with other operation theatre staff, whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the procedure while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
The introduction of ENT surgical services at District Hospital Bandipora is expected to significantly benefit patients who previously had to travel to tertiary care hospitals outside the district for such interventions.
