Baramulla, Jun 4: Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana Thursday visited Uri and conducted a Public Darbar at Town Hall Lagama to listen to public grievances and assess developmental needs of the area.
During the Public Darbar, various delegations and public representatives from different blocks of Uri, including Paranpillan, Bijhama and Boniyar, met the MP and apprised him of several issues and demands concerning infrastructure development, public services, healthcare, education and other local concerns.
The MP patiently heard the grievances and suggestions put forth by the delegations and assured them that their genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
Later, Ghulam Ali Khatana chaired a meeting with district and sectoral officers to review the status of public services and developmental works in the region. He stressed the need for prompt redressal of public grievances and directed officers to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues affecting the people.
The MP reiterated his commitment to the welfare and development of Uri and emphasized coordinated efforts among all departments to improve service delivery and address public concerns in a responsive manner.
Officers from various departments, local representatives and members of the public were present during the programme.
