DC Kulgam visits Ziyarat Sharief Mir Syed Hussain Simnani (RA)

Kulgam, Jul 30: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Thursday visited Ziyarat Sharief Mir Syed Hussain Simnani (RA) to review the arrangements and assess the proposed renovation and preservation works at the revered shrine.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the renovation/preservation and upgradation of the Ziyarat Sharief is under preparation.The DPR will be submitted expeditiously once all requirements and assesments are done by the stakeholders including the local shrine management committee.
The project aims to improve the shrine’s infrastructure, enhance facilities for devotees while preserving its religious and heritage significance.The renovation will be in line with the preservation of the shrine heritage.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure submission of the project proposal while maintaining the sanctity and architectural heritage of the shrine after taking into consideration all suggestions. He emphasized that all required works, encompassing shrine preservation and beautification works to building public amenities and essential services must be comprehensively incorporated adhering to the prescribed quality standards.
The officers accompanying the DC briefed him on the proposed components of the project. He interacted with the Shrine managing committee who put forth their suggestions for the shrine renovation and preservation.
On the occasion, the need for developing essential public facilities at the shrine was discussed and desired that the works benefiting devotees and enhancing the overall experience of visitors at the shrine may be taken up also.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri, Superintendent Engineer Er. Fayaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer Er. Javid Ahmad,Tehsildar Kulgam Nisar Ahmad Wani, Assistant Executive Engineer Er. Gowhar Hussain, Executive Officer, MC Kulgam, Mohd Irfan, and other officials.
