7-year-old boy killed by rolling boulder in Handwara

Srinagar, Aug 1: CPI(M) leader and Kulgam MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Saturday strongly condemned the killing of two non-local labourers in a terror attack in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, describing the incident as a “cowardly” and “barbaric” act.
In a statement, Tarigami said the migrant workers had travelled thousands of kilometres to earn an honest livelihood and support their families, and targeting them was an act of sheer brutality.
“I strongly condemn the killing of two non-local labourers in a cowardly attack in Kulgam. These migrant workers travel thousands of kilometres to earn an honest living and support their families back home. Attacking them is nothing short of sheer brutality,” he said.
Calling the violence unacceptable, the CPI(M) leader said those responsible for the killings must be brought to justice.
“Such barbaric violence is unacceptable, and those responsible must be brought to justice,” Tarigami added.
Two non-local labourers were killed after terrorists opened fire on them in the Kulgam district on Friday evening. Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack. (KNS)
