Shopian, Aug 21: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Shishir Gupta Friday chaired a review meeting in his office chambers to evaluate the implementation and current progress of various ongoing and approved development projects across the district.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on the progress and issuance of necessary approvals for projects pertaining to Urban Development, Tourism, Health, Culture and other sectors.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of all requisite formalities, speedy execution of works and strict adherence to prescribed timelines.
Emphasizing the importance of timely delivery of developmental works, the DDC called for focused efforts, effective monitoring and accountability at every level to ensure that the benefits of various projects reach the people at the earliest. He directed the Additional District Development Commissioner to closely monitor the progress of all projects, ensure regular follow-up with the concerned departments and facilitate timely completion of the works.
