DC Baramulla reviews progress on ‘Mission Youth’ initiative

Baramulla, Dec 2: In order to take a review of the implementation of ”Be-Rozgaar Se Swarojgar” initiative relating to various Mission Youth Schemes, the District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Thursday convened a meeting of the concerned officers at Dak Bunglow here.
At the outset, Assistant Director Employment Baramulla apprised the chair about achievements and status till date with regard to different schemes of the government.
It was informed that schemes presently launched and in operation have the capacity to provide every financial assistance to youth of the district thereby creating employment in large at grass roots level.
It was informed that under the MUMKIN Scheme different kinds of vehicles have been distributed, some are under progress and applications are being received on a daily basis.
Similarly with regard to the Tejaswi scheme, it was informed that this scheme has the scope to empower women by providing financial assistance for setting up employment ventures, and the department is working hard to achieve the desired targets.
Furthermore, it was revealed that under SAHAYTA scheme, financial assistance upto 2 Lakh rupees is given to the youth in distress in order to help them for setting up their own ventures.
The meeting was also apprised that for the convenience of youth, District Employment and Counselling Centre Baramulla has introduced various information and other details available on their official website and massive publicity is carried on various social media platforms.
On the occasion, Officer On Special Duty (OSD) for Mission Youth J&K, also through Power Point Presentation appraised the chair with regard to the various initiatives undertaken for implementing the various initiatives of self-employment generation schemes meant for socio-economic development of youth.
After taking a comprehensive review, the DDC stressed upon the concerned department for raising awareness across the district in collaboration with other concerned departments to involve more and more unemployed youth towards employment generating schemes.
The DDC directed concerned officers to pace up the process of establishing youth clubs, besides conducting weekly interactions with them and involving them in friendly activities.
He further said that BDOs will provide all logistics and other requisite support in facilitating the creation of more and more youth clubs under mission mode initiative.
The DDC also directed the concerned for making Youth clubs more efficient so that they will provide pivotal push in disseminating information for the people who are unaware of the government scheme.
The meeting was attended by ADC Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, Joint Director Planning M Yousuf Rather, Manager DIC, M. Assadullah Rather, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla, Assistant Director Employment, Accounts officer besides various officers and officials of various functionaries.
