Bollywood returns

There was a time when Kashmir was famous for its picturesque locations in the bollywood industry as a number of movies, songs and albums were shot in the Valley in the 80’s especially. But, for quite some period, the industry changed its mood and preferred other locations than Kashmir to shoot the movies. However, the 80’s like situation has once again returned to Jammu & Kashmir as back to back movies, songs and albums are being shot at the different and picturesque places here. The Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha has divulged that more than 300 movies were shot in Jammu & Kashmir last year and the record will break this year as more bollywood movies are expected to be shot in Jammu & Kashmir in 2023. The return of bollywood in Jammu & Kashmir will once again open employment opportunities to the people, especially the youngsters, who have been desiring and aiming to opt their career in bollywood. Moreover, Jammu & Kashmir’s economy will also witness a boost with its return. But, there is a need to make sure that elaborate arrangements and measures are taken at the earliest to ensure that the Bollywood’s process of returning to J&K is not hampered. Besides, the picturesque places should be maintained well in terms of proper sanitation and other related things so that the return of bollywood is welcomed and the industry is paved way to make its entry with smiles and cheers.
