Srinagar, May 16: An eight-year-old boy drowned to death on Tuesday after he lost balance in a row boat outside his house in Dal Lake Srinagar.
Locals said that the boy as per routine stopped his rowboat outside his house at Guchi Mohalla inside the Dal Lake.
As he stood up to de-embark from the boat, he lost the balance and fell into the water body.
Locals fished out his body shortly after the incident.
Ghulam Hasan, the Mohalla president said that the boy was well-trained in rowing the boat, however, unfortunately, he slipped into the lake after losing balance.
He identified the victim as Nasrullah Gucchu, son of Muhammad Yaqoob. (KNO)
